Who are you, and what do you want?
Why it's asked: the site says only "by members", and anyone writing about selection, finances and elections should say what they're after.
We're a connected group of like-minded members, not one person and not an official body. What we share is a goal: to make it easier for every member to understand what's being decided in our federation and to act on it, so that together we can help restore the movement.
We don't put names on the site, and that's deliberate. This isn't about us, and we won't publish anyone's personal details, our own included. The same rule that keeps youth athletes' names and members' contact details off this site applies to us.

Where did the circulars come from, and what have you changed in them?
Why it's asked: circulars go out "for onward distribution to clubs", which isn't the same as public, and the originals contained personal phone numbers and email addresses.
They're the emails head office sends to provinces for passing on to clubs and members. We received them as members, forwarded through our province. Every member is meant to see them; the archive just puts them in one searchable place, because they don't always reach people.
To keep personal information to what members were already sent, and less:
- every email address and phone number is removed;
- athletes listed in youth or junior squads appear as initial and surname only;
- attachments aren't reproduced;
- head office's links to the AGM pack, which point to folders LSA has since deleted or made private, are replaced with a note to ask your club or province.
If you're named in a circular and want something changed or removed, or LSA objects to any of it, say so in the comments on any page and we'll act on it.

Why did the AGM pack link come down, and who asked you to take it down?
Why it's asked: the link was removed shortly before a contested AGM.
This site never hosted the AGM pack. It linked to a Google Drive folder that LSA itself shared: public, with no sign-in, open to anyone who had the link. LSA has since deleted that folder, so the link stopped working and was taken down. No one asked us to remove it.
The same goes for the links in head office's own AGM circulars: one folder has been deleted and the other now needs a sign-in. So none of the pack is publicly available any more, from LSA or from here.
Every member should still be able to see their federation's AGM papers. Ask your club or province for the pack, and if you can't get it, raise that with your delegate. The guide's summary is unchanged, and still says which document each figure comes from.

The site admits it's AI-generated. What do you check, and what have you got wrong?
Why it's asked: "AI can be wrong" is a disclaimer, not a process.
AI tools read the source documents and draft each page. We decide what each page covers, read the drafts against the sources, and publish. Every page lists its sources so readers can check the same documents.
Things that have been caught and fixed so far:
- a comparison of squad sizes on the selection guide named the wrong squad as the hardest to get into;
- the selection guide first said the Selection Policy "never went out". All we can say is that it's not in the text of any circular, since attachments weren't kept, so it was reworded as questions;
- contact details in the circulars were removed after a full scan.
If you spot an error, comment on the page it's on. We'll correct it and note significant corrections on the page.
-
You approve every comment. What stops you quietly rejecting the ones that criticise you?
Why it's asked: every comment needs approval, rejected comments are deleted, and there's no public log.
Comments are checked first because young athletes read this site and are written about on it. The rules are published next to every comment box: no names of under-18s, no contact details, no personal attacks. Rejected comments are deleted rather than stored, so personal information that shouldn't be published isn't kept either.
That does put a lot of trust in the moderator, so here's our commitment: we won't reject a comment for criticising us, this site, or anyone we're connected to.
-
Is this an information service or a campaign?
Why it's asked: it appeared just before an election, with questions for Board candidates and a hard look at the finances.
It's meant to be information first: the papers are long, the circulars are scattered, and most members never see either. The timing follows the AGM because that's when the most is being decided.
We're not campaigning for any candidate, faction or province. The questions for candidates are the same for everyone standing, and the site holds LSA to the same standard of publishing its sources that it applies to itself.
Judge it by the record: if a page is one-sided, say so in the comments, and it'll be answered in public.

What happens to this site after the AGM and the Worlds?
Why it's asked: sites like this often appear for one event and then go quiet, leaving out-of-date information behind.
There's no fixed plan, and we'd rather say so than promise a schedule we might not keep. The AGM and the Worlds were the reason to start, not the reason to stop: the federation's decisions, its finances and how its teams are picked will still matter to members next season.
So the site will grow the way it started, when there's something members need explained. That could be what the AGM actually decided, how Team SA did in Gqeberha, or a plain guide to awards, safeguarding or becoming an official. The circulars archive grows as new circulars arrive.
Pages are dated by the documents they're built on, so you can tell when something has gone out of date. If the site stops being useful, or the same information becomes easy to get from LSA directly, that'll be a good outcome, and we'll say so here rather than leave it to go stale.
What gets covered next is partly up to you: tell us in the comments what you'd like explained.
